RACHEL CAHILL CONSULTING

SERVICES

The RCC team supports SNAP advocates operating at the local, state and federal levels. Whether your organization is fighting off harmful legislation or building a proactive vision for a hunger-free future, the RCC team is equipped to help you achieve your organization’s policy and advocacy goals.

LEGISLATIVE DEFENSE SUPPORT

The RCC team is staffed by veteran anti-hunger advocates with a long track record of successfully defeating state-level legislation that would weaken SNAP’s ability to reduce hunger. Through our Legislative Defense Support Package, we coach, train, and assist advocates at all experience levels to succeed in even the most challenging political environments.

SNAP POLICY ENGAGEMENT

At RCC, we know that the best way to develop a proactive SNAP policy agenda is to start by deeply engaging with those closest to the work. Whenever possible, we facilitate engagement between policy advocates, application assisters, and directly impacted individuals to integrate their unique perspectives and create shared learning opportunities. After laying this foundation, RCC supports partners in setting priorities for legislative and/or administrative advocacy to strengthen SNAP at the local, state, and national levels.

Our Framework for SNAP Policy & Advocacy Engagement:

Throughout this process SNAP policy trainings can help anchor each step to ensure there is a shared understanding of how SNAP works and what’s possible.
